THE P.E.I CATTLE PENNING CLUB
2010 SERIES REGULATIONS
- 1. The 3 Divisions for the summer series will be Open, 7 & Sportsmanship.
- 2. Teams will not be allowed spares for an individual or a single event.
Replacement riders will be permitted upon review of the Board of Directors, in case of a rider who is unable to start or complete a series due to illness or injury.(Rule #4) will not apply to replacement riders.
- 3. Each registered team must ride at each barn at least once in the summer series in order to qualify for year end awards.
- 4. Open : Each rider will be allowed to enter 2 pointed teams ,with no more then 3 teams per division for day money. (Total of 3 teams) Second pointed team must consist of (2) other riders.
7 Division: Each rider will be allowed to enter 2 pointed teams with no more then 3 teams per division for day money. (Total of 3 teams) Second pointed team need only to consist of (1 other rider)
- 5. OHW registered teams must run in all 3 dated shows, June 6, July 18 and Aug 1 in the OPEN Division.
- 6. Western wear must be worn by all participants (See rule 20).
- 7. Division standings will be posted at each show after June 6, 2010
- 8. A list of all members and their rating will be posted at each event.
- 9. First registration will run from 9:45 to 10:30 for all divisions. A second registration for the Sportsmanship division will run from 12:00 to 12:30 OR immediately following the Open & 7 Divisions.
- Open & 7 Divisons will start at 11:00 am sharp.
- Sportsmanship division will not start earlier than 1:30 pm.
- The running orders will posted before starting times.
- 10. When registering your team, have the money for all 3 members when passing in entry form. The registrar will not except partial payment of a team.
- 11. A first time non member will be given a (2) rating unless our rating committee knows the penner and can rate them prior to the show.
- 12. When a show cannot be completed before the (3rd run), or when we have more than (25 teams) in the Open or 7 Divisions this will result in all teams in all divisions with only (2) runs for the day. The teams in these divisions will be awarded maximum cows and maximum time 3 Cows in 75 sec in Open & #7 Div and 3 Cows in 90 sec in Sportsman.
- 13. Year end awards will be decided by a point system.
- 14. Teams must participate in (5 out of 6) for the summer series and participate in 1 per barn per series for year end awards.
- 15. Open Division will be allowed a trash cow on the pen side of the line for the summer series.
- 16. Each Rider MUST Provide a current Island Horse Council Insurance number to compete at a PEI Cattle Penning Club Event.
- 17. All non members competing at a PEI C.P.C Event are required to pay a $5.00 non Member fee at each show. Residents of PEI may choose to purchase an annual club membership.
