THE P.E.I. CATTLE PENNING CLUB
2008 SERIES REGULATIONS
- 1) The Three Divisions for the Summer Series will be Open, 6 & Sportsmanship Divisions.
- 2) Teams will not be allowed spares for an individual or a single event.
Replacement riders will be permitted upon review of the Board of Directors, in case of a rider who is unable to start or complete a series due to illness or injury.
(Rule #4) will not apply to replacement riders.
- 3) Each registered team must ride at each barn at least once in the Spring & Summer Series in order to qualify for year end awards.
- 4) Each rider will be allowed to ride on 2 pointed teams per division, with no more then 3 teams per division for day money. (Total of 3 teams) The second pointed team must consist of (2) other riders.
- 5) OHW registered teams must run in all 3 dated shows - June 1, June 22, and July 13 in the OPEN Division.
- 6) Western wear must be worn by all participants. (See Rule 20)
- 7) Division standings will be posted at each show after March 23, 2008 and June 1, 2008.
- 8) A list of all members and their rating will be posted at each event.
- 9) First registration will run from 10:00 to 10:30 for all divisions. A second registration for the 6 & Sportsmanship Divisions will run from 12:00 to 12:30.
- Open Division will start at 11:00 a.m. sharp.
- 6 & Sportsmanship Divisions will not start earlier than 1:00 p.m.
- The running orders will be posted before starting times.
- 10) When registering your team have the money for all 3 members when passing in the entry form. The registrar will not except partial payment of a team.
- 11) A first time non member will be given a (2) rating unless our rating committee knows the penner and can rate (*them prior to the show*.)
- 12) When a show cannot be completed before the (3rd run), or when we have more then (25 teams) in the Open Divisions, this will result in all teams in all divisions with only (2) runs for the day. The teams in these divisions will be awarded *maximun cows and maximum time* (3 COWS in 75 sec and 3 COWS in 90 sec.)
- 13) Years end awards will be decided by a point system.
- 14) Teams must participate in ( 2 out of 3) for the Spring Series and (5 out of 7) for the Summer Series and participate in 1 per series for year end awards.
- 15) Open Division will not be allowed a trash cow on the pen side of the line for the Spring and Summer Series. (See rule #7)
